Our Story

Starting out as Enchanted Pantry, designing and creating bespoke cake creations, I was approached by my friend of thirty years who was expanding her business.

Already with her own beauty brand, she whisked me on a tour of the most beautiful building on Harborough's High Street which she planned to turn into a luxurious home for beauty treatments.

One look at her vision and I was hooked!

To Coffee?

With a female-owned business focus, Laura Lane was looking for someone to complement her new venture by opening a café in the building, to create coffee and sweet treats for clients and customers.

This was a curveball for me!

I had recently converted a separate kitchen at home to cater for Enchanted Pantry, however opening a coffee shop had never been on the agenda!

Family Affair

But the opportunity to work alongside other like-minded businesses in the most amazing pink-themed building was just too good to say no to!

And so, with a lot of work to do, my mum, Diane, and step-dad, Rob, were brought on board - and Ruffles began to take shape!

Local Love

With three short months from saying 'Yes!' to opening day, we've worked hard to focus on elements that are true to us here at Ruffles.

We want to create a beautiful escape for you. Somewhere lovely and welcoming for you to enjoy a light lunch, hot coffee & sweet treat, and support other well-loved local businesses along the way.

A Slice of Heaven

From beautiful Carrara Coffee, hand-roasted just a mile up the road, to our delicious daily cake menu, we want to present the best that Harborough has to offer!

Or perhaps you'd like to join us for Afternoon Tea or a Private Party? We love to host something out of the ordinary for you here at Ruffles!

Please get in touch if we can help.
